BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse "Bar & Grill" Doral, The Falls, Pembroke Pines

What is BJ's?
BJ's Restaurants serve quality food and fresh, handcrafted beers in a casual, high-energy atmosphere. Our restaurant team members exude a warm, friendly and energetic spirit that conveys a sense of honest value and a commitment to exceed the expectations of our guests. We have a lively bar with plenty of televisions throughout the restaurant, but we're not a "sports bar." We offer our unique handcrafted beer, but we're not a "brew pub." We're just a high-energy, casual dining restaurant that offers quality food and handcrafted beer at a good value to our guests. BJ's offer a high-quality, extensive (approximately 100 items) menu featuring BJ's signature deep dish pizza, complemented by generously portioned salads, sandwiches, soups, pasta, entrées, snacks and small bites, our own line of handcrafted microbrewed beers and of course our famous Pizookie® dessert.
Pizza Trio - Also a Great Kid's Menu
Quality, flavor, value, moderate prices and sincere service remain distinct attributes of the BJ's experience. BJ's is popular with all ages – kids, families, young adults, "baby boomers" and senior citizens – and all income levels. Our average check per guest is about the same (or less) than what you would pay for an average experience at one of the "mass market" casual dining restaurants. The difference is that at BJ's we believe you get much more for your money!
What is the difference between BJ's Pizza & Grill, BJ's Restaurant & Brewery and BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse?
In 1978 our first restaurant opened in Santa Ana, California and was called "BJ's Chicago Pizzeria." The unique deep dish pizza was an immediate hit and additional "Pizzeria" restaurants were opened in beach cities along Southern California's coastline from San Diego to Los Angeles.
BJ's Jeremiah Red Brewhouse
As the years went by, significant changes were made to the BJ's menu and the name was consequently revised to “BJ's Pizza & Grill.” Then in 1996 the first large-format restaurant was opened in Brea, California. The introduction of fine handcrafted beers was welcomed by guests and the newly renamed "BJ's Restaurant & Brewery" concept was launched.
Most of our restaurants do not have on-site breweries. Instead they have energetic bars with dozens of craft beers on tap - both BJ's award winning handcrafted beers and the finest craft beers available. These large-format restaurants operate under the name "BJ's Restaurant and Brewhouse."

Hawaiian Mahi-Mahi
New menu items and new beers have been added over the years as the BJ's brand has expanded throughout the United States.

Does BJ's offer any vegetarian dishes?
BJ's offers a variety of vegetarian dishes. Popular items include our Avocado Egg Rolls: crispy, golden wontons wrapped around a blend of avocados, cream cheese, sun dried tomatoes, red onions, cilantro, pine nuts, chipotle pepper and spices. We also offer a variety of salads, including our Garden Medley Salad served with crisp romaine lettuce, artichoke hearts, fire-roasted red peppers, tomatoes, red onions, feta cheese, drizzled with our balsamic vinaigrette dressing.
And of course our signature BJ's deep dish pizza has many vegetarian options. Our Vegetarian Pizza is topped with mushrooms, green peppers, black olives, white onions and fresh Roma tomatoes. You may also build your own veggie pizza from a long list of ingredients, such as pineapple, sweet corn, fresh basil and artichoke hearts.

And you can't leave BJ's without diving into our legendary Pizookie® dessert. This is a freshly baked, hot out of the oven, rich and delicious cookie topped with two scoops of ice cream and served in its own deep dish. Flavors include Oreo cookie, chocolate chunk, white chocolate macadamia nut, peanut butter and oatmeal raisin walnut.

Do you have a gluten-free menu?
We are proud to offer our guests Gluten-Free Thin Crust Pizza. Our restaurants can provide information for guests who have food and allergen sensitivities or an intolerance to gluten. Please ask your server for a copy of our Food and Allergen Sensitivities Menu and Gluten-Free Selections, or click here for further information.

BJ's Gluten-Free Selections
BJ’s Story

It was 1978 when two guys who had a great recipe for deep dish pizza opened the first BJ’s in Santa Ana, California. The pizza was an immediate hit and, as years went by, new BJ’s restaurants were opened in beach cities along Southern California’s coastline. In 1996, with seven restaurants in operation from San Diego to Los Angeles, the first BJ’s brewery began production in our new restaurant in Brea, California. The introduction of fine handcrafted beer was welcomed by guests and the newly renamed BJ’s Restaurant & Brewery concept was launched. New menu items and new beers have been added through the years as the BJ’s brand has expanded across the U.S.

Grilled Pork Chops
Our passionate desire to provide extraordinary value for our guests in a high-energy, fun, child-friendly environment, along with a sincere commitment to support the communities in which we do business, goes to the heart of what differentiates BJ’s from other restaurants. It is because of you, our guests, that we have been able to realize a dream and create the company and culture that thrives today. Thank you for being the biggest and most important part of what keeps our dreams alive!

BJ’s Vision
To be the very definition of "WOW" for the casual dining experience.

BJ’s Promise
Be the Best — Never Compromise!

Shareable Appetizers

Purple People Eatery Food Truck "Fresh, Freaky, Street Food"

Purple People Eatery is a Miami-based food truck specializing in fresh, freaky street food. It was built in late 2010 in Mississippi, home of Head Chef David Shipman’s father. The name comes from an old film featuring a one-eyed monster with a horn. The menu, designed by Shipman and Duncan, pays homage to the film: each item represents one facet of the beast. From buffalo burgers to Mexican Coke, they offer a take on gourmet food found nowhere else in the Miami food truck scene. The purple truck debuted on February 19, 2011, and is already well on its way towards becoming a local icon.

Conceived by Chefs David Shipman and Michelle Duncan, the PPE showcases their exceptional culinary talents to the hungry masses.

Chef David Shipman is a Miami native. Dissatisfied with his life as a University of Miami psychology student and unwilling to join the corporate masses, Shipman decided to leave college and pursue his dreams instead. Though already skilled in the culinary arts, he enrolled at le Cordon Bleu in Miramar, Florida to refine his expertise. After years of sharpening his skillset even further at some of Miami’s premier restaurants, he decided to once again take a risk and start his own food truck.

Club Med Sandwich
Chef Michelle Duncan has crisscrossed the states in search of culinary glory. From the top restaurants in California, like Susan Feniger’s Street in LA, to the most happening spots on South Beach and Midtown Miami, she is an expert in the way of the meal. Her Asian background, inherited from her Filipino mother, gives her an Eastern perspective on cooking that she credits for her distinguished style.

Tobacco Road "Miami's Oldest Bar"

By Renee Chapple, About.com Great food and live entertainment in typical no-frills dive bar style.  Hey folks, get ready for the time of your life at Tobacco Road. Tobacco Road is a restaurant, bar, blues club, eclectic music spot, and meeting place for generations of people from every walk of life. This is not only one of the best bars and restaurants in Miami, it is the oldest. Established in 1912 they are quickly closing in on the century mark. No place stays in business for 100 years if it doesn’t have a ton of great things to offer.

Like any place that has been around for a while, Tobacco Road too has gone through some hard times. Yet today some of the world’s finest blues and jazz musicians perform here with regularity. Just a sampling of those includes: Koko Taylor (also known as the Queen of Blues), national blues treasure John Lee Hooker, George Clinton (self-proclaimed Emperor of Funk), Dave Bromberg, and blues master guitarist and New Orleans own, Dr. John.

Tobacco Road has an eclectic a crowd as it does entertainment, food and drinks. On any given day they have tourists from all walks of life rubbing elbows with celebrities, professionals and famous sports figures with live local bands and live music 7 days a week.

The history of Tobacco Road itself is cool. The Road started and remains a neighborhood watering hole, but today with a little bit of international flavor. The Road has lived from The Capone Era, to the era of the cocaine wars, to the soaring success of South Beach and re-gentrification of Miami’s Brickell area. The Road was once even fronted as a bakery and sold hooch in the back. The speakeasy gave way to gambling, a gay bar, a strip joint, and finally back to blues bar and fantastic hang out. Come toss back a few where Capone and “Tony Montana” characters hung out, be surrounded by black and white photos and décor from the generations! Contribution By http://www.mostinterestingdestinations.com/

Description
•Miami's oldest bar, operated continuously since 1912
•Colorful history, including time as a speakeasy, gambling den, gay bar, strip joint and blues bar
•Great dive bar food at reasonable prices

Guide Review - Tobacco Road - Miami's Oldest Bar

An old-time favorite, Tobacco Road was established in 1912 and has a somewhat shady history of run-ins with local law enforcement authorities. That said, it's the absolute best place in town to find a huge greasy hamburger and you're liable to hear some of the best live blues music in the country while you're dining.

The menu includes typical bar fare, including a great greasy cheeseburger. If you're looking for a healthy meal, The Road is definitely not the place to go. However, if you're looking for a great burger and a beer at a decent price, you'll love this joint. They run several weekly specials that draw regular crowds:

If you're a Miami resident and you haven't been to Tobacco Road at least once, you're missing an important part of your Miami cultural experience! If you're visiting town, make a stop at The Road for a great filling meal and a few drinks.

GreenStreet Cafe & Lounge

Urban Spoon (Miami, Florida), Likes it - Greenstreet Café has to be one of the most incredible places to wine, dine, and enjoy many memorable moments amongst friends, family and a loved one. Their ambience is relaxed but incredible soundtrack that transports you to Morocco, Ibiza, Germany and France at any given moment.

GreenStreet Cafe - Coconut Grove
The furnishings and decorations bring an air of mystery and distinction which makes Green Street Café stand far above the rest and their Mediterranean menu will delight even the pickiest of palates. With flair of extravaganza and a dash of VIP seating, Greenstreet Café is simply the place to be. Situated in the heart of Coconut Grove, there is never a dull moment as Greenstreets pleasant and friendly staff make sure you receive the most impeccable of services and the best meal in town.

GreenStreet Outdoor Lounge and Restaurant, Coconut Grove's premier "seen and be seen" restaurant, was founded 19 years ago, by husband and wife team, Sylvano and Maida Bignon. Throughout the years, their European background has influenced them to create the GreenStreet "Philosophy", making their place evolve into a "Lifestyle".

It is a rare day not to encounter local politicians, artists, athletes, or simply thousands of locals enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner, just sitting for a glass of wine, taking a break from their dog walk, having a business meeting, a baby shower... or simply relaxing on a sofa, for a late night amongst friends.

Some might invent reasons to come here... just to be there, several times a day... Breakfast is a must, especially on Sundays, as lines may form, while patrons sip on a glass of champagne, laughing and socializing while waiting for their table. For a complete online menu click here.

Burger & Beer Joint

Here at Burger and Beer Joint, it is our goal to make you feel apart of our B&B family. Open for a year now, B&B is to say the least, a local success story.

Charlie Garcia
Email: charlie22garcia@gmail.com
The concept of B&B was created from the ground up, and was built through dedicated, hard-working people that shared the same motivation and vision. Overcoming many obstacles, we have expanded to our now open Brickell location. One of our many goals at B&B was to fill a much needed niche within the Miami area.

It is safe to say that we have filled it as South Beach’s local burger and beer bar that everyone’s talking about. A combination including our energetic employee team ready to serve mouth watering dishes, mixed with a full blown soda fountain serving up egg creams, shakes and adult beverages, sprinkled with our 10lb MAMMOTH burger creates the tri-fecta of B&B.

You can’t get enough of this place, just ask our regulars! Love the South Beach B&B? Then we’re sure you’ll love the Brickell B&B. We made sure both B&B locations capture the unique décor, featuring 120-year-old Chicago brick walls, wooden booths, copper ceilings and outdoor patios. Come see for yourself what everyone is talking about!

OneBurger "More Than a Hamburger Place"

Straight from the founders @ OneBurger

Oneburger, a new and unique burger concept located adjacent to its sister restaurant, The Globe Cafe
& Bar in Coral Gables.

“My goal was two-fold” said daniel guiteras, oneburger's founder. “first, we set out to create a basic, but more gourmet or boutique burger (using the highest quality ingredients) that was a cut-above the standard fast-food prototype, but still more affordable than a higher-end restaurant burger. secondly, we wanted to take classic dishes or recipes and apply them to the 'art' of the burger. we really wanted to get out of the 'cheese, lettuce, tomato' box. The more creative we got in the test kitchen, the more we saw the potential for truly unique burgers. oneburger recipes are modern and really delicious, and, moreover, we feel that their time has come as today's consumers have a more sophisticated food sense.”

“Along with all this we also wanted to create a more cutting-edge and progressive identity in terms of design and packaging. the look and style of oneburger is something important to us. From a design stand-point, I think we are the first building painted pure black in coral gables. The positive response to this has been surprising”

Oneburgers menu is divided into four categories: beef; chicken/ turkey & veal; seafood; and vegetarian.

Beef burgers run the gamut from modern takes on traditional burgers such as the “patty melt”, the “old school” (royal castle style), “twin minis” and the "bacon cheddar" (with pancetta bacon & english double gloucester farmstead cheese) to more zeitgeist, recipe-based burgers such as the “kobe”, the “au poivre”, a “frita cubana” and the “black, black & blue burger” - a delicious combination of homemade and hand-rubbed blackening powder with a black bean spread and maytag blue cheese.

Rounding-out the 30 burger menu (the name oneburger is a play on “the number one burger”) are crispy chicken sandwiches, a broad range of inventive salads, soups, chicken tenders and wings, three types of hand-cut fries (yukon gold potato, yuca and sweet potato), beer battered onion rings, thick milkshakes, homemade desserts, adult and kid toy meals (with cool objects culled from around the world) and breakfast choices including bagel/biscuit burgers and authentic belgian waffles. Restaurant.com OneBurger Gift Certificates: Save up to 60% off your next meal!

As a OneBurger customer I will just say "it's great to have a real, juicy burger for a change" and after the burger walk over to The Globe and enjoy a cocktail.  Great food and fantastic selection for those who prefer something other than a burger.
